Spiro K. Pistiolas was born in Adelaide, Australia.
He obtained his undergraduate degree in philosophy from California State University Hayward. He went on to obtain a Master of Science in Law (MSL) and a doctor of Jurisprudence (J.D.) from the Peninsula University College of Law.

Mr. Pistiolas worked as Staff Counsel for Travelers Property Indemnity with a focus on providing claims professionals with legal counsel in regars to pending workers' compensation claims. He has also practiced in the field of complex civil litigation with an emphasis on representing hundreds of individuals with catastrophic injuries caused by defective products.

Mr. Pistiolas' hobbies include watching others garden.
